headlight problem

I am the proud new owner of a 1990 320i which I love except for a couple of problems. The top bulb in the headlight came on one day and wouldn't go off, even when I turned the key off and took it out of the ignition. I had to resort to removing the bulb. Does anyone know what might have caused this? Annienz

Check the light control relay, maybe it got stuck.
