    Default Can't find Mobil 1 0w40 anymore

did they discontinue the 0w40? Every wallmart in the Minneapolis area seems to be completely out. I can't even find a shelf space or price tag for 0w40 anymore. Guess I should go back to 15w50. Anybody else notice this in their towns?

I noticed that walmart only puts a limited amount at a time. Last time I went there was only 10 quarts and I grabbed every one of em. They may only order in a couple 6 pack cases at a time because the guy went in back to see if there was anymore and he said there wasnt. Between both them not stocking much at a time and people like me I can understand why you are having a hard time finding it, I would take 20 if they had em so I wouldnt have to hunt each time a change comes along.

LOL...I do realize that sometimes its next to impossible to get the stuff. I'm sure you called all the local and obscure auto parts stores but when synthetic first started becoming available in the 80s for automotive use (im old) you could only get it at places like grangers.com. Prior to that you would have to find airplane supply stores, trying to help with ideas here, maybe motorcycle supplies would be worth looking into also.

Default Try mobil 1 5w40 Truck and SUV

I have seen it at O'Rileys. I think at Autozone-not sure. My car seems to love it. From the people on Bobistheoilguy forum it is excellent stuff.

i think they replaced it with the truck and suv 5w40. i don't buy the stuff but i was in a walmart a couple of days ago and noticed that they now sold 5 quart jugs of 5w40 for the same price as the other 5 quart jugs. perhaps this is the case at your store and maybe you havent noticed it yet.

What's wrong with 5w40? Have some sitting in the garage. Of course, I have a couple of trucks too, but why not in BMW?

Most personal trucks have engines that are also in cars, eg GM 4.3 and 5.7. Mine run M1 15w50. 5.7 has 200k and burns one quart in 7k mi change interval.

    Hi BennyM,
They have some at the Checkers Auto parts, kinda expensive, but, I usually wait for their flyer in the Sunday paper, sometimes they mark it down. That's when I buy it. I think they also carry 0-40 at Fleet Farm up in Osseo. I've never seen it at Wallmart.
