Default OT: some interesting uses for a hemi

Don't know if this was posted already since the june data was crashed...

Dodge must be having trouble selling their Hemis, so they had to find other uses for their inventory:

On the contrary -- they can't make enough of them to satisfy the demand. The Hemi, as noted by the Wall Street Journal (last week, maybe?), is one of the reasons why DC isn't in the same type of mess as are in FORD and GM.

Vee-eight, Schmee-eight!! (pertaining to under-engineered, bigger-is-better aussie and US V8 engines in particular)

Hemi would also make a great BOAT ANCHOR!!

Stuff the V8s when mid 90's BMW 6cyls were churning out 340 RELIABLE BHP!!

My M30 was only 10kW less than the 5.0L Aussie "power-house" V8 of the same era!!

No substitute for Cubic Inches?? Yeah there is... Clever Engineering!!

    Gone but NEVER forgotten. :'(

    And then...

I agree!!! You only have to look at the new M5's 500Hp 5-liter V10 to see that... And that's without any forced induction of course.

Wouldn't the E34 M5 engine technically count as a hemi, since it does have a hemispherical head? Or is there more to DC's 'hemi' than just the shape of the combustion chamber?

Guys lets be fair, the Hemi V8's are awesome, look at the almost stock
540 big block hemi's that pack 700 bhp, also yes some of the bmw heads
can be described as hemi heads, along with the jaguar XK motors .

There has to be something to the hemi heads since they are
the same as the Keith Black heads used on the 6000bhp top fuelers

Actually I wouldnt mind having a hemi'd chrysler product to add to my driveway, then I could get rid of the old dodge intrepid.

yep. be fair. these were getting about when bmws were style , no grunt.hemi charger was the fastest production car over the quartermile in oz for 15 years, 6cyl that is to be remembered as well. no v8s got any place near them. only reason they werent as succesful was cause they didnt corner verywell.
