Default So, does everyone headgasket look like that?

The seam on the intake side looks like its oozed some thick black tar-like stuff in a couple of places on both heads. It's still a little pliable and very tacky so it can't be oil.. and its obviously not coolant, so i supposed its fine.. I assume when they put the alusil block in they used a tad-bit too much RTV on the gasket and it squeezed out when they torqued the head down? Or else the engine got so hot that it oozed/boiled it out? it looks like its been there a while. I only worry because i'd like to degrease the whole valley area but i don't want to disturb the grime if its helping hold the seal.

yeah thats just a gasket sealant,
loctite make a version of it, it really helps if the head
