Default Help! Rear Seat Access 95 525i

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to open the the rear seat to get to battery.....dho! No latch, no handle. I feel like a maroon.

we all did at first, pull the seat straight up. there are 2 latches right in the middle of where you sit on both sides, after you pull and fail grab it again and pull even harder!

It's not maroon, it's ultra maroon.

The easy way is to move your front seats all of the way up. Climb into the back and sit on the seat. Reach down, dead center....lift yourself off of the seat...then PULL. Once you've done it a couple of times it's easy.

I think it gets easier after the latches wear out some, whenever I had to go back under there I hated it! Ohh and moving the front seats up is just cheating...why didn't I think of that?

Who do you think I was referring to as Ultra Maroon? Actually it made it easier since I sit with the seat fairly far back, having the seat moved up gave me some more room. Winfred might have suggested it also.
