Default A nice looking 7 on the 'bay

Looks like it has 850 brakes up front, but can't tell for sure. I wonder if it's actually got 80k on it.

Default The 750 brakes were different by year and country

The 750 outside Germany never had the larger disks and the 4 caliper brakes like the 850.
US 750 have 2 calipers, as these cars do not go the high speed.
In Germany the first 750 also had the same brake disks as the 735, later it got larger disks at the front with 4 calipers and also ventilated rear brakes.
Anyway, that is not the big problem. My Japan version 88 750iL also has the standard brakes and I had never to complain about the function. Maybe it just works when you very often drive >200 kmh and have to brake very often down like it is on the German Autobahn, then maybe they start fading.
Last year I was driving a 750i in Germany about 300 km from Frankfurt airport to the north, also this car had standard brakes and I had no problem at all, although I drove a loong distance > 200 kmh during the early morning hours when the Autobahn was relatively free.

This car was built 04/88 according to the VIN.
The only thing which worries me is the low mileage. My car has now 65 k miles on the clock, but this is Japan where I do not drive a lot. I use the subway and train more than the car. yesterday I went from Tokyo to Nagoya by the high speed Shinkansen train. 454 km in 1 hour 35 minues with one stop in between. Had my breakfast in the train and could relax and read newspaper.
Back to the subject: if the car has that low mileage, how can the carpet have a hole where the brake/accelerator pedal is?

Yeah...I guess I'd like the novelty of it for a few weeks, but it definitely needs some contrast for the long term.
