sounds real cool! Dont forget to send us all postcards from each stop along your trip!
My friend whom I have known since I was 13 is now living is St Petersburg Russia. In late August on the 24th he is going to fly to Frankfurt Germany to buy a used car to drive back to Russia.
I will fly into Germany at the same time will meet him. The WRC Rally Germany http://www.omv-adac-rallye.de/v2/ueb...in=deutschland will be held that weekend nearby in the Trier region which is german wine counrty. So I will get a chance to see it live and up close.
Then will we drive north to Stockholm, take a ferry to Helsinki, and drive to St Petersberg. http://www.viamichelin.co.uk/viamich...okMap&pim=true
I plan on returning at the end of September. I am very excited about this trip. I have never been overseas.
Ron wants to find a e34 or e39 touring to buy. I am sure he can find one in Germany. Can you think of a better vehicle to have for a euro road trip?
I am very excited to say the least

Scott, have fun! No, I can't think of a nicer car for a road trip than an E34!

maybe an e34...whats the support like for a bmw in St petersberg? At least a major part of the e34 is anologue technology....
Gone but not forgotten
I already helped a German stationed in St Petersburg now 3 times this year with an E32 750iL. The BMW shop there has no technical skill/knowledge on the old E32 750iL.
On the other hand there are plenty of newer BMW now in Russia, even a lot of V12 7 series, the new rich class has plenty of money.
