    Default anybody using these cupholders?

There was a discussion on roadfly about this. It does not need to be screwed on but also has some disadvantage (looks) according to some. Here one comment:
It's got flexible foam flaps on the bottom. Despite being sufficiently large to hold my .5 liter insulated travel mug (too lazy to wander out to measure right now), it seems to stablilize littler items well, too. The foam flaps hold my small energy beverage cans ok (~53mm od - about the same as those Japanese mini vending Calpis (sp?) and cold-coffee cans, iirc), but I'm not an aggressive driver, either, so one might want to bolster the flaps with a donut insert or somesuch if that's the only size can to be used, and one wishes to go drifting . . . (not).
IIRC, he also includes double-side tape (or you can easily add your own), to better secure the tray, but I've found that the fit is close enough that friction suffices, and mine has stayed nicely put with no tape.
Don't get me wrong - I've found it to be well worth the purchase price, but it is kind of funny paying $35 when it looks and feels similar to $0.50 doggy-chew or children's toys, but illustrates the power of off-shoring and mass manufacturing, and reminds me how much I usually benefit from technology in the manufacturing process.

The seller is a member of roadfly and I have contacted him directly if he sells also overseas. He told me that if there is enough qty, he will ship. So I have to ask the E32 Club members Japan.
Just wanted to hear some opinions. He says if he ships in bulk - let's say 10 pieces- shipping will be abt $ 10 only/piece. I assume that the normal Ebay price will be abt $ 35,-.

In Japan only this one is sold and that costs about $ 60-70

Default I had one of those....

....On my E34 and thought it was great. It wedges into the shift area very tight and will not move once it's in place. But it will easily remove if you wish. It will not fit on cars with the ASC switch though. Although it may look a bit cheap in photos, I found that it was very well made and just about indestructable. It incorporates a nice little tray area too, that will hold keys and cellphones and keep small items from sliding around. I had tried two previous holders, one a flip-up and one that hung over the console. But they were complete duds compared to that one. I'd say it was a buy for the buck equal to getting a chip for $200US.

    Just MHO.

Default It kills some problems for me

My dearest wife always puts the keys and the cell phone, cigarette lighter and other stuff on the center console and I am worried about scratches when it moves from one side to the other when driving
With this one - o.k., might not look that good- that problem is solved.

This one is also not bad, was/is (?) sold by bavauto, but costs apparently more than 100 $

Just exchanged some PM's with BigKriss as he was thinking to get one out of the lot I want to order for Japan. But I guess that is too expensive with postage US>Japan>AUS and maybe import duty into Japan if I order let's say 10 sets.
He just sent an email to the seller directly. It is HerbB from roadfly. So I think there is no problem with delivery, as other roadfly members also bought from him.
Someone in AUS has to coordinate that for all. And for direct shipping US>AUS.
And without Ebay might be even better.

Just found a pic of one in use, that means not from the Ebay pics
