    Default Wandering steering

I have a 1990 525i and have replaced the both thrust arms and control arms. I also just replaced my steering box. The car seams to wander when I am driving, sometimes it feels like the wind is blowing it. I will start heading to the right slowly then start back to the left. Any ideas? Also how much play should there be in the steering wheel before the tires move?

Tighten up the 32mm nut by the pedals yet? (there are a few writeups on this floating around...)

There's a bit of play inherent in the steering box...It makes "dead on center" and a few degrees in either direction feel a bit benign.

Many mention this problem but I don't have it with my E34.
Mine has no play at all!

Maybe you don't have the stock steering components?

Frank, if you grab the steering shaft deal under the dash, you dont feel any play moving it like side to side?

I think I do. The car was reportedly wreack in the rear before I bought it. Could something in the back be causing this?
