    Default 535i 1989... WIPERS! :) What size?

I've searched the site and come up dry. The only marginally useful thread brought this up:

So this is the North American passenger side. Great. So what's the recommendation for the Driver side? I flipped through some books and they all say 24" for Passenger... but N/A for Driver side. Apparently you don't need a wiper for the driver!

I think that diagram is showing you the orientation for the assymmetrical blade assembly. Both rubbers are the same length. At least on my car they are.

What kind of crack were you smoking when you did the search and can I have some?

Don't worry. I search all the time (esp since I'm... new... here)

I haven't found a DEFINITIVE answer. I'm sure you can agree to that

NB: And by the way NONE of the links you posted had definitive sizes

I don't think you need a definitive size - just cut the insert to what you need...I think it's 22" on the DS? I forget.

Actually, they're rusting out so I need to change them. Also noticed something this morning... the driver side arm loops from underneath to catch the wiper, whereas the passenger side does the normal from above catch. May need a special wiper? Don't know. Going to have a closer look at lunch.

Wait...you're replacing the ARM, not the insert?

Just measure it... on my car it is 22" both side... you may be able to put a bigger one... just make sure it won't hit any edge.

As for the fitting, it is already preattached to the Bosch Microedge wipers... if for any reason your driver side is the opposite direction hook... simply flip that fitting the other way.

"if for any reason your driver side is the opposite direction hook"

Makes it sound like it's an oddball e34
