Lambda Control 1 Engine Code

Hi,
I changed my O2 sensor this moring because I had code 1221 flashing on the engine. Now the check engine flashed 1222 "Lambda Control 1".
Can anyone tell me what could be wrong and how to fix it.

the car is a 1995 model 525i

Rather than starting a new thread, il post here on this unanswered one. Same problem as OP. Except i also changed what was suspected as leaky fuel injectors. Put in some design 3 19lb'ers, swapped in new o2's and bam new code :1222 "Lambda control 1"

The car still misses on occassion but does idle much better than it previously did. CEL goes away when accelerating and only comes back on random occasions durring idle, never when accelerating.

Any tips? Im hoping this isnt leading to a faulty DME...
