Steering WheelAdapter

I bought a nice Alpina Momo BMW steering wheel on e-bay recently. It came with an adapter for early e-34 and e-30. The adapter splined center hole is quite a bit smaller in diameter than the steering shaft on my 1994 540i. I have not been able to find any adapters that are listed as fitting the larger diameter steering shaft. Does anyone have info about an adapter that will work for my aplication? I don't care about SRS or airbags.
