    Default Identify wiring connector please

Please identify a wire connector / harness on my '91 535i. It has a flat connector in a bracket mounted on the block under the oil filter. The wire bundle has a silver tag on it that I cannot read. It is a 3 or 4 wire flat connector. What do the wires go to?

    Thanks

I tried looking, but I can't find the plug you're referencing.

Mounted on the engine block UNDER the filter? I got nothing there...

Thanks a bunch for the effort. The wire connector is mounted in a sheet metal bracket (small) attached to a cast aluminum bracket(big) bolted to the block at a point beneath the oil filter. I'll try to figure out how to post a picture if that explanation doesn't help.

    Thanks, '91 535i

So it's mounted to the engine mount? That's the only cast aluminum bit in that area..

    Lemme go check again.

Ah. All I can tell you without getting the car up and pulling the plastic shield pan off is that one end joins with a bundle from the alternator and heads aft, the other end drops down below where I can see.

It possible it's the oil level sensor, maybe.

Thanks guys. That's it. I had a little corrosion in that connection, and I had hoped it was causing my intermittant rough running problem.
