I like my front plate. Although in Michigan we are not required to have front plates and it does make the car stick out a bit more.

I think certain cars look good without front plates like the e38 when u put the replacement rubber trim over it. that looks good but i think the e34 looks odd with no front plate, even with that bmw thing you can stick in, the fact the bumper is designed to have a plate i think it looks better with one! the euro ones look best but that's just my opinion!

Then you might want to keep the cali plate, save a few dollars in tickets.

Here in Kansas where they dont require a front plate, i prefer to go with no plate over the euro plate, it just looks cleaner and though i like the look of euro plates i dont like the idea of having something fake and functionless on my car. I really wish we would switch to a euro like plate in the US b/c it does look better and its so much easier to read from a distance than the small thin lettering on the US plates.

No to the euro plate, if your state allows for such. That big reflective metal rectangle makes a great target for police radar and laser guns.

If you can get away with it in your community, stick with the Euro plate. It looks soooo... German. LOL

In San Diego, they have been cracking down on not having front plates, but now that I'm in LA its not so bad (even though they have a ton of red light cameras). In my E39, I was pulled over by a cop, and he didn't say anything. The only time it bit me was when I got a parking ticket. I got a $25 ticket for parking during the wrong hours, and a second $45 ticket for "no front plate". F*^$%n meter maid had to add insult to injury. I still just paid the ticket and left the plate off.
