I had the same problem this past summer. I went to Wal-Mart and picked up one of those R-134a (if you use that) recharge kits and I made sure the refrigerant had the "leak-stop" or whatever its called to help lug very small leaks in the system. Try buying a can or two and see what happens. If it dies again or doesnt work at all, you might have a somewhat large leak somewhere.Quote:

It it doesn't, it could be low on gas. There is a low pressure and high pressure cutout. It will be good to check the pressure first. My guess is the pressure is low.
A pressure gauge will tell you how much refregerant is missing. Big leaks means some major repair.

Woah it was a steamy 105 degrees this weekend in Inland LA. I just picked up this 535iM. A/C is not cold. How can i fix it. I think it uses the R12 not the R134A stuff. How do I diagnose what needs to be done. Do they sell the recharge kit for R12? Thanks.Quote:
