The m30 head bolts aren't torque to yield bolts, they don't have to be
replaced like other models do. They do require angle torguing however.
And I know of no shops that don't use a torque wrench on headbolts. Everybody does. You can fudge on other bolts on the car because its easy to develop the feel for 35ft.lbs or so but i dont know of any mechanics who do that with headbolts. Buy a torque wrench and make or buy the angle gauge for torquing your head bolts. Locally at autozone the angle gauge is less than 10 dollars US.
