I have made my own using ss or brass tubing from the local hardware store. Just push the tube over the pins and it will push in the little flaps and then you can push them out. Works pretty easy and its a cheap repair. Only cost about 2-3 bucks for a 1 foot piece of tubing.
I made my one fron an old antenna, just cut at the right diameter and it is a perfect tool. You can even insert a knitting needle inside to push out the pins.
Interesting, I was fixing a antenna with brass tubing when I got the idea.
That works perfect! The smaller bit of antenna even works to push the connector out.
Brilliant timing as usual, shogun - too late for the plug in these photos but it's just in time for a factory amp bypass!

ok so what gives... it worked perfect on a couple of test plugs i had lying around but when i went to use it on the factory amp plug i couldn't get it to work at all!
i spent ages with it and ended up cutting the wires instead :(.
are some plugs glued after assembly or something?
Sometimes you have to unlock the plug in some way. I found that out on the plug for the MAF. Could not push the pins out, first had to unclip on the other side some small clips and pull that stuff first, the the pins could get out.
see from pag 6, retaining lugs
