Default Terrible News: A fellow Board Member has Passed on.

I regret to inform you that Allan Stewart (Allans) has died in a car accident. His mother said it was a head on collision and he passed instantaneously. Allan was 22 years old. In the six months that I came to know him, I quickly came to realize he was great guy. My fuel pump failed one night on the way home from work, just so happens I was chatting to Allan about it. He mentioned he had his old lying around, since he had just upgraded his pump. He overnighted it to me the next day and did not even charge me a dime.

In case your are unfamilar with Allan, he is the one that fabricated his own turbo kit for his E34. Allan's handy work can be seen here.

If anyone is interested, there is a scholarship fund being set up at Allan's School in his name.

    Default Wow......very sad indeed.

I remember that he always had the great photos of his car, very artistic. It goes to show all of us how fleeting life can be. One never knows when your number is up, so try to be at peace with others. My sympathies to friends and his family.

New York man dies in two-car crash
PATTERSON, N.Y. — A Patterson man was killed when his car veered into oncoming traffic on Route 22 Monday morning. State police said Allan J. Stewart, 22, was driving south about 8:55 a.m. when he lost control of his 1991 BMW. The vehicle crossed into the northbound lane, where it collided with a 2003 Ford Taurus operated by a 55-year-old Pawling resident. The driver of the Taurus, Michael J. Giso, suffered serious injuries and was taken by Stat Flight helicopter to the Westchester County Medical Center. He was reported to be in stable condition. Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene. State police said the accident remains under investigation, and they don’t yet know what caused Stewart to lose control of his car.
