Default Show your stuff - Garage pics!

As per a request from another thread

Post ideas, cool stuff you have, I'm sure all of us could use some cool ideas for customizing our garages.

Acting as spokesperson for the totally clueless, what does one do with a milling machine and a plasma cutter? The plasma cutter made me say "oooooh" but to fully appreciate it it would help to know its uses. Thanks.

Makes cutting metal a breeze. I am, however, selling it soon Just don't use it enough to justify having one right now.

I'd suggest going to howstuffworks.com for a good description of how a plasma cutter works.. but let's just say that if you're cutting anything from sheet metal to 1" thick steel on a regular basis, a plasma cutter is your best friend (if you can justify having it.)

Milling machine, in the laymanest layman term I can use, is like a drill press on steroids. It removes material both horizontally and vertically. Mine happens to be CNC (computer controlled), so I just draw up the part, send it to the controlling computer, and it automagically cuts my parts out.

Here's the garage we work in... pretty spacious, fully stocked for the most part:

    Air compressor
    Heat/ac
    Fridge
    TV/Xbox
    Couch
    Sand blasting cabinet
    plumbed compressor lines
    sink/bathroom around corner
    4 car capacity
