1990 525i radio, wipers and windows stopped working

Last week, the car normally starts right away the other day. It runed over several times so I turned the key to off then immediately tried it again. it started but the radio, time, wipers and windows stopped working.

This past weekend I checked the fuses - they all looked fine. The bigger box type fuses, I took out and put back in re-seating them. ALl the electronics worked then.

This afternoon, I was driving along and the same electronics went dead again - the radio, wipers and windows.

Any ideas? What should I check next? Many thanks!
