    Default 9006 to h3 conversion?

I just bought depo fog lamps from ebay like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/88-90...QQcmdZViewItem

My OEM were not the ellipsoid and I have a 9006 wire. How do I make it fit the ones I just bought? Thanks for the help!

not sure if that's really h3. stock ellipsoid fogs on e34's are h1.

i'm assuming you're going to have to do some rewiring.

you just have to get the end terminals, been there and done it. they dont work perfect but work none the less. Look on the real oem site for europian cars fog lights...Ill search but know that its almost impossible to get the correct terminals.

I bought the same exact fog lights a week ago and if you're not picky about your connectors, you can modify your existing 9006 connector to fit H1 receptacle on the Depo fogs (it's not H3 like you said). I used a scribe to enlarge the holes in the 9006 connector to accommodate the H1 rounded prongs (the 9006 have spades). You can use any similar tool like a small screwdriver for example to accomplish this. Do not overdo it because you want it to have a tight fit.

seal where the lens and body of the light come together with urethane, I had one leak on me...youll want to seal that connector deal too.

I did, with black rubber sealant all around the lens. Good idea on sealing the connector also. I'll do that this weekend.
