hi,
my 1995 540i check light came on yesterday for about 2 minutes then went out. ever since then the car is running rough. i did the pedal stomp & got a 1213 error code. my mechanic told me this is #2 o2 sersor error. should i replace both or only the one? my mechanic suggested both. should i be looking for anything else that might cause this same code?
thanks

I to had the same code at about 50K miles. I bougt both sensors from BMA and installed them myself. Very simple. Just layed on my side and used a box wrench.

You don't have to drop the exhaust. You will have to jack up the car if you havent been watching your trips to Wendys like I havent been lately. (lol) I used a box wrench as well and took them both out without a problem. Probably the easiest o2 sensors I have ever changed in my life.
