i gotta say the e46 is one of the last really good looking bmws designed, it'll be interesting to see how they hold up, did a front control arm on one that was about to fall apart and wasn't that bad a car, they finally redesigned the front suspension from the e30 and have a slightly different shaped aluiminum wishbone

The sport package really makes the car look good, especially the shadowline trim. I think the "flaps" even help balance it all out, plus the added benefit of the protection.

How did the front ones fit? When I checked into flaps for the E39 there was a note about a fitment problem around the lower front rocker panel. Then I thought about the snow packing up between the tire and the flap and ripping them right off the car, leaving them on the highway some 50 miles away somewhere.

We need to get you some clear side repeaters.....=)

Looks good Bill, hope you and Yvonne have a safe and Happy New Year!

just fine around the rocker panel, i was surprised how close they followed the contours of the body.. Here is the pdf on installing them on the e39
(http://www.bimmernut.com/%7Ebillr/images/mudflaps.pdf)Wasn't sure if you have the eba or not , and here is what i've found on the newer tis that i don't like about the approved oils for the m52tu,
(http://www.bimmernut.com/%7Ebillr/images/m52tuSpecialOils.pdf)Can't answer about the snow question :)
Edit: its the newer tis i don't like, not the approved oils list....
