I have a 95 525ia and my OBC lights went out. I am referring to the unit that is beside the radio and has all the buttons with time, date, temp, distance etc. The time display is still lit but the rest of the buttons are all out. How do I repair this?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I just bought a '95 525i yesterday, woohoo!!

Anyway, mine has the exact same problem, and though I haven't fixed it yet, there are some instructions at this link:

I don't know the part number for the bulbs though, could you post it if you find out?

That is the best "how to" on the subject. Note: I haven't had success with the "slim jim" aka hacksaw blade. I have always removed the glove box and its interior to gain access to the right side OBC lever. Also, make sure you request the part numbers Don mentions for the bulbs. The ETK is wrong. If they give you lights with blue bases insead of black, you'll be doing this again fairly soon.
