Got the new valantine ready fo action and want to wire it properly and not like PO did by running it to the window switches.

The valantine uses a phone cord for power so it is a long lead and I cant use the existing wiring.

I dont really want to pull everything apart but will if I have to.

Thanks!

For my v1, I pulled off the sunroof motor cover, and snagged the 12v that powers the main light right in the center, with the 3 switchs on it. It worked fine, but I had to remember to turn the v1 off when I parked, because that 12v was always on. I picked it simply because it was the closest that I could see, and I wanted to mount it close to that piece.

You may be able to use the sunroof switch... see if there's a 12v supply on one of those wires when ignition is on. I never checked it out, I was basically lazy about the whole thing.

a relay to power the motor, not true voltage. Im prodding around up there and will find something, lots of room to stash wires and crap in there so thats where I'm gonna figure it out from.

wired direct for now, need to route a switched power run up into there from somewhere. Where to place this thing...I have it currently under/behind the mirror. Nowhere else is stealth if you want to get radar comming up from behind.
