I have noticed that the shifting feel has a LOT of play even when its in gear! The shifter moves while in gear and sometimes doesn't want to go into 1st or 5th gear. Any ideas on how to improve this vauge shifting feel? Would a short shift kit help? Thanks

usually you can clean it up with just a couple parts, one's easy and the other is a bit of a bitch. the cup is under the shift boot and can be replaced in about 10 minutes with a lift if you know what to do (i leave quoteing the on a jack time to somebody without a lift) if you can move the shifter up and down the cup will definately help. any further slop will requier a deeper fix, the rod from the shifter and the knuckle that it's atached to will restore the shifter to stock, the rod is easy the knuckle is a bitch, id do the cup and see how it feels
