I have a 93 520i with an speedometer that intermittently fails entirly. On some occasions, the needle will jump ahead by 10 -15 mph were it will sluggishly respond to changes to speed. After a few minutes, it will either return to normal, or fail to register anything. When the problems occur, turning off the ignition and restarting will usualy correct the problem. Any ideas?
