I'm wondering what I should do when I hit 400,000 in a week or two.
Probably need to start replacing some suspension stuff and rear wheel bearings.

wow, that is something. I wish I had that much, but my 11/88 E32 750 now has only 169.000 km (not miles), so less than half of yours.
Give him some suspension stuff and the rear wheel bearings and then go for half a million!

Woot!

True TCO through solid service delivery; a small part of what the Ultimate Driving Machine is all about!

Nice work ahlem, if not suffering from rust, the rest is childplay. Bring on 1/2 million! Not uncommon these days- the only thing that kills these cars early are the drivers they end up with once the market value has bottomed out!

Congratulations! I have never had the "big six" but did test drive a really nice one when shopping and it was super.
It's a gratifying achievement to carefully maintain a beautifully engineered car to that milestone. I'm glad you hit the big number and wonder what I'd replace as well. I think the wheel bearings are an "as needed" item, they may go another hundred k or two. The only one I've had go was on a low mileage 944 Porsche and it made a hollow groan as it went. Plenty of warning.

LOL, I suspect one might find ahlem's car is wanting for very little, well surely something, but maybe very little in comparison to some... :D

It needs a bit of regular deferred maintenance at the moment. Had a wedding last week at our house and lots of auto repairs waited. I will probably start with the exhaust soon. Then the rear end bushings and Koni Adjustables. Then the front struts. Then the clutch and possibly drive shaft related parts. then... then...
