This power steering pump is installed on E32 730 V8 and E32 740 V8 as well as E34 540 V8.
While I found a source for the ZF power steering pump for the 735 and 750 at
PSkits.com - Power Steering Rebuild Kits for Pumps and Racks (http://pskits.com/)
and repaired my pump quite easy, I am looking for a source for the LUK pumps, model type is LFR 68. That pump delivers 130 Bar.

Trying since a long time to allocate a supplier but so far no success.
Anybody knows a source?

I think I know... but I didn't see original post. I will take a look again. A while back I was searching for someone to rebuild tandem Luk power steering pump for a Mercedes... didn't pan out but I did find alot of resources while I was doing it. I recall the USA diviaion of Luk sells some parts.

The only parts I could find are seal kits as per this catalogue:
http://srtp.us/yahoo_site_admin/assets/docs/steeringpumpcatalogmay2011pdf.140132939.pdf
I imagine Schaeffler want to protect their refurb plant in D59423 Unna so you can only get a Luk pump on an exchange basis here. I couldnt even find seals in the UK so doubt you could get hold of hard parts. I know you have been trying to sort this for a while so spent some time on it. Sorry I couldnt get a better result

Interesting... Rockauto got a Send to rebuild service... $84... you send your pump in to rebuild. Otherwise, You can get a rebuilt pump for about $135. New pump is crazy expensive!

I'm afraid the seals was all I could find.
Following Tiger's tip, I checked out Rock Auto and was surprised to find they have an outlet in the UK too. They dont list anything for the 740i and no pump for a 730i though. Out of interest I put in the price for my own and it turned out to be £53. The transport charge for the core is £38 from the UK (well it does go to the US) but it is £3 cheaper from Tokyo!!

Rockauto with these prices is a real alternative for those living in the U.S., for us (like in U.K./Europe/Asia) the return shipment of the core plus the shipping cost for the new item is the problem.
£38 is U.S.$ 62 , that is just for info who do not know the value of the GBP. So the shipping for the new item plus the return shipment of the core is about the same as rockauto asks for a rebuilt pump.

Maybe you find someone in the U.S. with a old, damaged pump which can be used as core for return shipment to rockauto.

Actually I am researching this for some people which asked me for such a repair kit for LUK, I have only the ZF pumps on my various 750.
