e36 headlights dirty / hazy

My sister has her e36 down and the headlights are looking bad. Is this just corroded plastic and how can I get them clear as glass again?

can maybe polish it out, otherwise if its deep the plastic will need to be replaced.

Did it come with a spray to protect is once you polished it out? And which kit did you use; there are several. Thanks
