few months ago there was floods and heavy rain, and after that the AC compressor stopped compressing as I took it to a repair shop thinking that the gas is out. but the compressor was dead.

I was wondering if I can fit in the E38 compressor in? does it have the same brackets? Thanks

your compressor is probably the same as on the E32 750. Check on realoem, and also check which brand is actually installed on yours.
Here is a repair info on Nippon Denso

http://www.a-aironline.com/detail.aspx?ID=258 this is the one, same as the E38 unto 1996.

final question, the low compression rate is only due to a bad compressor or there might be other causes? just in case the technician doesn't know what he's doing ;)

The system is completely closed system under pressure and no water can enter.
I assume that there is/was a short in the wiring system or some wires/connectors are corroded. That I would check first on the compressor.
Something what is electric...... and can be damaged with water or by a flood.

well the compressor is getting the signal and I can hear the hissing of the gas getting into the system, but when I took it thining that the gas leaked out, the technician said that the compressor was very weak

Try checking the refrigerant pressure and seeing it if is within spec? Check for leaks first.

pressure is right, but when the AC is on the compressor doesn't show enough pressure. for sure no enough cooling, inside the car I can hear the gas hissing in the system, without any cold air.

I am not an aircon expert, but that would make me nervous. Hissing...

for me, as amateur,....

not enough gas inside.

well that what I thought too, surprized when the meter shows the gas is full. I will check it tomorrow again at another place and see what will they say, otherwise I will need a new compressor.

according to the pressure meter on the filling valve it shows that the system is full, I don't know what should the pressure be in the system in Bar? I will recheck it tomorrow and get all the read outs with AC compressor on and Off, if the system is over filled with gas, I guess it will also not work propperly. would it?

well the compressor was dead, I replaced it and refilled the gas and now its fine.
