Anyone know how large it is in diameter. I tried searching on here but came up with zero. Acutally its 385mm, same as mtech 1, sorry guys.

yes the one on ebay. if its the same size as mtech 1 though (and it is), I don't see any point in getting one.

there is an mtech 2 from the e30 that is 370mm in diameter.

Acutally its 385mm, same as mtech 1, sorry guys.Most of the normal Momos are 350mm, which is not quite enough dia to read the insruments properly. But one can live... still, I've had both and still reckon stock (385mm) is optimal. On e28 it might be smaller, I know one has trouble rading instruments on that car with the stock M wheel, but that might be the instruments, the e28 ones are perhaps bigger...

I have the 385mm one and often cant read the speedo when it reaches the 110kp/h mark. I would definately invest in the M Tech II over the I...best best best thing I put on my car. Its the thing you use the most. And at $110 or whatever its at now its quite good value.

i have an e34 385mm m tech 2 for sale if anyone is looking, it's in nice shape, but didn't fit my e34 m5, the size looks right, but my column's splines are slighty different. I paid $200 for it, would like to get that back.

Really can't say what model years it would fit. It has a production date of 3/93, but we tried it on a 92 model year 525 and it didn't fit, nor does it fit my 3/90 production m5 (i'm currently using a 370mm e30 version of the m tech 2).

It's the Momo 2008 hub adapter for me, and I think that you need the 2006 adapter. Not sure if that will solve the spline problem, but my guess is that it would. It will certainly solve the problem of the short shaft.

thanks David, could you let me know if this works for you. from some additional research, it looks like there is a fine spline column and a corse spline column, for early cars. Eh, better than having the short shaft problem though... :p
