I have notice that when the temperature drops down to 37 degrees F outside that I receive an alarm which displays on the computer and also for a few seconds on the dash instrumentation. What causes this?

Yeah sure would be nice to have a cup holder. All of the cup holders I have seen so far look like they are just in the way. Theres got to be one some where

Temperature probe. I replaced the wiring connector going to mine and now it works like a charm. There is a large connector that must have about 12 wires in it. Found out it was corroded out. Ended up having to cut it off, could never get it appart

What I do not understand is why every vehicle you buy even today has an ashtray? What a wasted space! As for cup holders, I use a Camelbak for water.

It works well and I don't have to worry about spilling any liquid inside the car.

Do you have a manual? Do the cups get in the way when you throw it into 1st or 5th?

I have a 750 and 750 are all automatic.

But the offer says:

Designed Specifically To Fit

BMW 7 Series Model Years 1988 - 1994
BMW 5 Series Model Years 1989 - 1995

One size fits both Automatic and Manual Models
Ashtray can be opened while using the passengers side cupholder
(my own remark on this: can also be opened a bit and enough if the driver side is used with a can)
Recessed space for storage of change, sunglasses, etc
Molded using strong High Density Polyethylene, in a matte black finish which attractively blends with the interior of your car
Passenger side holder does not interfere with leg room
No fasteners are needed to hold the unit in place, which allows for easy installation and removal
This cupholder takes care of organizing your console while giving you a safe and convenient place to store your cups
Does not fit models equipped with ASC traction control, where switch is in console region.

Did you not see all pics in the offer? It shows also a manual

Yeah thats the pic that worries me.
It looks like if I have a drink on the left side I could smash it against the the car if im not careful. The bottle of water looks a little close on the right side too.

I really like the design though, im tempted to buy it.

Works good. I have one. With drinks filled, I can still shift comfortably. Don't bother using the ashtray though... so if you normally use that cig lighter, forget it.

I am taking that this is a sore spot with the Bimmer. But how can you design a sweet piece of machinery like this and not have a coffee holder. What were they thinking?????
