Don't get your panties in a bind, I'm not puttin' an ///M on my car. I just want a clean look with no emblem at all. Whats the best way to get this off and remove the associated adhesive?

If stuck on I'd use a little heat (if it's cold out) and some dental floss. As far as cleaning up the adhesive maybe some GooGone or a similar product would lift it. Test it out on another area to make sure it doesn't marr the paint.

The GoreTex based dental floss is really strong stuff...

mine came loose earlier so i just ripped it off, let it sit in the sun and then pull it off i pelled as much of the tape away as i could and then got the rest off with wd-40 then washed it and waxed.

Hey, I saw your 525i parked outside of Via Delosantos around a month ago...pretty snazzy. -- Mike

Yeah, thanks.... Thats my barrio, I live there in the slope. I was at Via last night in fact. Where did you say you lived? Around Arcadia if I remember correctly.

I currently live in Arcadia at 40th St. and Camelback, but I venture over to Via to meet with my family pretty much every Friday night because my parents still live over at 7th Ave. and Glendale (where I grew up). I was at Via this past Friday night actually. -- Mike

that's pretty much what i did.

use a hair dryer to heat it up. then use dental floss or fishing line to pull it off. clean up with goo gone. then clean with soap and water. last, polish and wax.

Just got back from a little vacation in Belgium and let me tell you, BMW's definitely have a strong presence there. It was great! An interesting note (to me, not my annoyed girlfriend) - most of these cars (older and newer 3 and 5 series) had no trunk lid numbering (325i,525i,530i,etc.). I doubt that 3 out of every 4 BMW owners are removing their numbers just for something to do- must have been built that way.
