Okay, so now that I've dragged home (actually drove) a 1990 750iL I had been looking at, I'm wondering if there is a certain trick involved in reaching all those spark plugs. Any comments? I am already gifted with smallish hands and skinny arms, but even then, it looks tight.

Thanks,

The best tool for # 12 is the spark plug tool in the tool box in the trunk. It is a kind of telecope tool.

Hi Shogun,

Thanks for coming to my rescue....I somehow missed the writeup on Johan and Sean's page.... But I knew there had to be a certain way that was easiest.

I'll have a busy weekend, wonder how long the old plugs have been in there....180,000 miles on the car...though it seems to have been well cared-for by the what-to-look-for points on your site
