I recently purchased a very well cared for 2001 740iL. Recently I noticed at low speeds an intermittent rattle which appears to be coming from the front end. I can hear it sometimes when I go over speed bumps. The car is great in every way and when I purchased it some 4 weeks ago I did not notice a rattle. Currently the car has 85,000 miles on it. Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to what might be causing the problem or where I might begin to troubleshoot short of taking it to the BMW dealer? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
