Ok, Fixed the trans program... So no I have to work through other issue...

I installed 06 750IL wheel and tires on my 90 750IL and the tires are wider but fit. Max size in case anyone is wondering is 245/40/r18 in front and 245/50/r18 in back.

Now that I have larger front tires the steering is darting back and forth.... Sometimes it will steer normal then all the sudden pull to the left and I can correct then it is like that a while then might go back center or dart the other direction...

Any one have any Ideas?

Ok, so someone calls this "tramlining"

Other symptons that may or may not be related to this problem...
Mild vibration about 20 mph and goes away by 30.
sometimes a VERY HARD STEERING WHEEL SHAKING event at 45+ mph that is soooooo bad I have to pull over and slow down, then have another go at it until it goes away...

Again, this didn't seem to happen, or was hardly noticble with stock 15" and now the 18" BMW 2006 Wheels and Tires are wierding it....

The wider the wheels and tires, the more you can feel the vibration and every small piece of wear ibn the steering gets bigger.
Also the 'beer cans' in the rear axle could be old and damaged. Raed about that on Bruno's page
