Big Hello!!

1st time poster and happy 1990 M70 owner for the past month. I've only had rotary engines before this so I'm a bit confused with the M70.

That said I need help with synchronising the M70 after the reset (shorting of the cables method as described by Shogun). I've read the instructions but I simply dont get it.

This is how I understand it:

- Get the car to operating temperature
- Reset the car (using shorting of the cable method)
- THIS IS WHERE I GET CONSUFED: What does it mean by "coasting from 5000rpm to idle 3 times?
- And then I guess I leave it running for 5 minutes to even out the idle.

Is this correct. Does anyone have a method in plain english??

Any help is greatly appreciated and very very welcome.....

BTW:Its great to see such a big & friendly online community for this car....

Use the lowest gear to get to 5.000 rpm and then coast down.
See my website below.
So just get off the idle to get down with RPM, accell to > 5.000 again etc.

you dont need to go all the way to 5000, 4000 is satisfactory also.

Use the lowest gear to get to 5.000 rpm and then coast down.
See my website below.
So just get off the idle to get down with RPM, accell to > 5.000 again etc.
