Looked at the FAQ that lists the instrument panel bulbs by wattage. but I ran across a listing fot T 1.5 LED replacements--less than $2US--that seem like a good idea if that fits. Product info:
T1.5 Instrument LED bulb
1-LED Instrument Cluster and Gauge illumination bulb. #74 LED bulb installed in twist-lock socket base Available with White,Blue,Green,Red and Amber Wide Angle LED
$ 1.79

No affiliation, just trying to fix one dead bulb and get the rest while I'm at it...

Is a resistor included to drop 12 volts down to about 1.8?

Also, a wide angle LED does not have as wide a pattern as an incandescent lamp, so it may not look right.

I have converted my E30 OBC to LED illumination and it looks great. But each case is different, and must be regarded as experimental. Sometimes during the course of experimentation, "stuff gets broke."
