Been searching all the sites and only see the FEBI AT filters.

Is this a dealer only item?

This is for a 1988 e38 740i with the 5HP24 440z transmission.

That's a 1998 not 1988 e38.

Oh well. ATF filter and fluid change not to far off now.

did you try bmaparts.com? my filter wasnt over 20 bux and came with the O ring. post in the 5'er forum, get a lot more answers.
