Got off work late this morning and while driving home I had the itch to paint something, saw the dash and said hmmmmmmmm.

Tried taking out the dash but that was too big of a pain to do so I masked off everything and its mother...

Wow nice job!
Was it a beige/tan beforehand, or was it terribly faded?

And in the pictures i can see some blotchiness, is that baceause it hasnt yet cured? or is that just the camera being a prick.

Wow... can I just say, that looks amazing? Very nice work... I can't really see it up close, but the effect of painting that dash seems to update the interior by about 5 years. By the way, did you replace any of your wood, or is that original... such rich colors, I'm jealous :D

gotcha, yeah...the whole process including snacking on food was about 10 hours...4 of which was masking everything, especially the windshield...what a pain...and everything is original except the painted dash now lol

Duplicolor makes a vinyl and fabric paint...used 1 1/2 cans total at about 5 coats. I think it worked pretty well but there were in a few spots where it dried sort of glossy where I prob used too much...

My car came factory with a black dash... was it part of a package ? specific years ? option ?

Just your color combo--Black dashes are not at all rare, but in many of the grey interiors BMW used a Grey dash...something that I would like to take care of eventually as well...
