"Trans Program"/"Limp Mode" Redline a Engine?

Will my 535 go into limp mode regardless of its speed or is there a interlock or something that will prevent that from happening if dropping to 3rd would redline the engine?

I guess it would wait until it was at a safe speed to lock into 3rd.

Nope she will slam right into 3rd when trans program failure happens. believe me i know. (jumped a hill at about 120 redlined the engine and slamed into third with trans program on the dash) the good thing is at that speed the torque converter wouldn't lockup. so i didn't overrev the engine.
