535iM - 1991 - engine oil low indicator

Hi All,
I had an engine oil low indicator, and sure enough, I was indeed a little down. I put in 1 L and it measured up fine, but when I started the car up (and the next few times, within 60 miles) I continued to get the low indicator on the dash.
Do I need to reset something, or could my oil really still be low?

It should clear.

If it keeps up, check the plug to the sensor, it's down low so it gets crusty and needs some cleaning.

I read thinner synthetic cleans it up...did for me.
