The above in my 735iL fluctates by 5 mph. Starts at the selected speed, accelerates by 5 mph, shuts down throttle until it slows back to selected speed, and again and again.
Is this a DIY fix and how?
Thanks

Check the correct fitting of the bowden cable at the throttle valve. You will have a bowden cable on the throttle valve if you have no EML system. In case of EML it is fly-by-wire with a potentiometer at the accell.

Thanks, shogun. What is a bowden cable? I saw 2 throttle type cables. One of them is kind of loose. Not sure if it should be.

Yes, these 2 cables are socalled bowden cables. Lateron a clip was designed to fix this problem, the dealer has that, or go to my page below and look for Gale's website, he has nice pics of these clips and sells them.
