That is a great video. Reminded me of a winter I drove my 911S to Portland, OR via Winnemucca to Bend to sisters and up and over to I-5. Of course I wasn't sliding around the corners like him, but the car handled great in the snow even without snow tires. Here are some photos of my baby that I had to sell because we had a baby......

As most menbers of this board may not speak German, here some of what is being said:

'this (the 'ring') is no ordinary road..'

'any new Porsche model had to master this track and pass with flying colors.'

'Here, in the 360hp GT3 Walter Roehrl does a lap in 7:52, in the dry.'

'but dry bitumen is quite boring' the commentator suggests.. (Walter Roehrl was double World Rally Champion)'

'Enter 10cm's of snow and the 911 Carrera with 320hp and RWD, a dream come true..'

'Losing traction even in 5th is no problem. With ease the 911 drifts from one turn into the next.

The double-apex right at the airport is taken with the steering wheel half a turn to the left..'

'140kph at the 'Schwedenkreuz' feels more like 240kph..'

These are just some of the comments in the video. For the record, the driver of the Carrera is not Walter Roehrl but someone else.
Those Porsches are absolutely amazing cars, I'll always remember the day I had the opportunity to drive a 911 turbo (996). Anyway, thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it! :)

glad you all liked it!

since I spend 5 months of the year buried in the white stuff, i truly appreciate the technique and skill involved!

I too drove a 911 turbo 2 years ago... only a 15 minute drive, but enough to be blown away by the quality and feel.

Is it just me, or is this the first time any one else has seen a "ring" vid withabolsutely no other cars on the circuit?
