I wonder if the toilet from the Clinton days has been reclassified as well.

I don't know, but you may need a manufacturing permit to have a baby.

Since burger flippers are going to be re-classified, I wonder about pancake flippers. Did anyone eat any today? I made some apple pancakes with maple syrup.

What kind of apples and how did you prepare them? I'm thinking Granny Smith would be flavorful.

Granny Smith would work but I used Macintosh. I just used one of those vegematic type devices to quickly shred it, and added to the pancake batter.
(and I did not remove the peel)

My wife asked, "what did you put in these pancakes?"
I won a few points for them.

this seems like a quick and easy solution. It has been said that all we manufacture in the US anymore is hamburgers, so I guess that makes sense. It should be good enough for the stupid electorate that couldn't see "what" it was they were putting in the Whitehouse. Or maybe they sincerely, as does the president, believe that what is good for the oil industry is good for the USA.

I like my balls good and salty! Just like I like my manufacturing-sector burgers and my sanitized Bush-administration U.S. government websites and nepotistic, conspiracy-theorist-baiting influence-peddling cronyism!

Chew on that, Mr. unregistered troll. And bugger off. Might as well change that word to "Conservative" except y'all are afraid to taste either tripe or balls.

Mmmmmm, Rocky Mountain oysters . . . now there's a good complement to pancakes.

that was me GFeller

I had window washed and defragged last night and my cookie was gone unbeknownst to me when I posted.

I have no fear of your conservative paranoia. In fact I am quite amused by it.

Be sure to take me very very seriously...but don't dent my tin foil hat in the process. ;)

Which I suspect you can relate to, even if our politics are somewhat at odds.

I did appreciate the Cliff's Notes title, but not as much as I appreciate your honesty and your ducks. You're obviously no troll.

Keep up the good work, those guys reward loyalty and you may have a chance to become a federal judge before you know it.

I'm definitely much more a realist than a paranoiac, I just got on a roll there and couldn't stop. Your boys have a pretty damn good chance of pissing off the liberals for another four years. I only have one vote. We'll see.

Gotta stay away from responses to political posts, at least on the main board. I'm really much more interested in girls and cars.

A Whopper of a durable good, eh?
*rolleyes*

And to think we coulda had McCain. Oh the pain of today. Guess the voting public had no desire to be challanged by their candidates.

Read it... it says:

"The report does not recommend that burger-flippers be counted alongside factory workers."

So... what are we talking about? I'm really not one to defend the current administration, but geez....

I only have one vote.

I heard in 2000 you could could vote 7 or 8 times if you were a Democrat living in East St Louis, MO.

It's simple MikeV, liberal whiners will never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Hey, hey.....HEY!
Libertarian is not the same as liberal. So don’t u dare call me bleeding heart. Idealistic......yes, but never bleeding heart.
OTOH i was very serious about McCain.

It is only the timing of such adjustments to domestic production figures that paints it in the light of cynical PR spin.

BTW, i tend to average bout 20mpg w/ the 3er (daily driver), even w/ a lead foot and surgical stainless ankle.

This quote should sum it up, " it concludes that the fuzziness of the manufacturing definition is problematic, because policies.....may miss their target if the definition is overly broad or narrow."

Those who do CAD, computer aided-design, know that many of their jobs have been shipped overseas. Unfortanately, even though they are actually producing a product, they do not fall under the definition of manufacturing. This becomes troublesome for them as they do not qualify for unemployment, which among other things, would include some type of reeducation to help them work in a closely aligned field.

Stay on topic there G.Feller. This thread would never have been started if the originator had read and understood the entire article.

But since you raised the issue, our country would not be anything close to what is today without the profit incentive.

Profit crosses all political boundaries.

I suppose John Kerry (liberal whiner #2) married the widow of the $127MM Heinz fortune for altruistic reasons.

I suppose the patriarch (that's father to you youngsters) of the Kennedy clan (father of liberal whiners #3,4 & 5) didn't really make his family's fortune smuggling alcohol into the US during prohibition.

Can anyone think of other examples?

When you decide to buy the Volvo 244 w/AT, manual windows and 165-R15 tires, I may be interested in your E34...but you'll have to remove any and all rainbow decals :).

All those big words must have thrown me off...
It curious to me how your typical bellicose right winger has to resort to terms like liberal whiner when confronted with an article like this..
Thanks for the explanation of those big words too...
Here's the full economic report if you'd like to see some real B.S (http://a257.g.akamaitech.net/7/257/2422/09feb20040900/www.gpoaccess.gov/usbudget/fy05/pdf/2004_erp.pdf)
Also since you wanted to see any other examples of profit crossing all boundaries here's a little more current one (http://www.jrnl.com/cfdocs/new/stories/pgfp0223200413.htm)
and speaking of patriarch's lets not forget Preston Bush and Nazi profiteering
I agree that profit does cross all boundaries but i didn't think that obscene profits should be accepted as the norm...wait, my mistake, you have to possess morals or a conscience to think like that...

Bill, Sorry to hear you had trouble with the big words. Us bellicose right wingers prefer to stay in the background while we count our money, crush the underlings around us and scheme to get that next USED BMW. But when an otherwise intelligent individual consciously overlooks the portion of the article that clearly contradicts the thread title I'm compelled to put you in the Whiner category.

I'm absolutely baffled how you ignored the part that says "The report does not recommend that burger-flippers be counted alongside factory workers"

I've got no problem with you distorting the article to meet meet some personal agenda....but if you do it publicly you should expect to be challenged.

Have a nice day.

You're absolutely right Paul, it was done consciously kind of like those grabber headlines you see on Drudge or the fox networks...and it looks like
a whole lot of people read that article too...Here are some more articles on the same thing (http://www.misleader.org/daily_mislead/Read.asp?fn=df02242004.html)
You just click on the little headings at the bottom of the article for the source info...
