05-02-2005, 02:40 PM
Dear Minneapolis BMW Owner's Group Member,

May is upon us and we begin yet another wonderful chapter of spring! Many of us have begun those projects around the house, cleaning the yard on the outside and all the familiar cleaning on the inside. Hopefully as youíre catching up with those projects, letís not forget your beloved BMW. This is a great time to run through your checklist and start with your routine maintenance! Hereís a list of things you might want to consider checking: Brakes, Tires, Oil, Coolant, Brake Fluid (Flush), Transmission fluid, Light bulbs and Suspension components. This is just a generalized list, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

This is a great time to announce our gathering for this month. We will be having our gathering this Tuesday May 3, 2005(Tomorrow!), 7:00pm at the Calhoun Caribou coffee shop. We will be meeting at the Caribou coffee shop located at the northwestern corner of Lake Calhoun in the Calhoun Commons. Weíll be parking our cars in the parking lot of the Calhoun Professional Building at 7:00pm, then walking over to the Caribou at around 7:30pm for coffee on the patio. Hereís the location information for the Tuesday gathering.

7:00 PM
Calhoun Professional Building
3033 Excelsior Blvd.
Minneapolis, MN 55416

7:30 PM.
Caribou Coffee
3044 Excelsior Boulevard #103
Minneapolis, MN

For those who are new to the gatherings, I want to thank you for your interest and please feel free to extend the invitation to other BMW owners. As a group, we casually talk about different things related to repairs, upgrades, suspension and racing. During the warmer months we gather at the Caribou Coffee shop located at the Northwest end of Lake Calhoun, but due to the size of our group, we're holding it at different locations through the winter. We
have several ideas for this year, which include several exciting outdoor events. Many people in our group are members of the BMWCCA and have mentioned that they enjoy having a group that gathers on a monthly basis that's why they are associated with this owners group in addition to the BMWCCA. If you aren't a member of the BMWCCA, don't worry, it's not a prerequisite to be part of our group, we don't charge membership dues and new members are always welcome! I hope to see a large turnout this Tuesday, thanks for your interest in the Minneapolis BMW Owners Group!
