I like the MOMO steering wheels very much. I am looking for a used one in 'wood' design on the auction houses since a long time. Missed one some weeks ago.
Here MOMO URL

Yes, most of the Momo range of steering wheels look nice on the E34. I have one and it feels nice, firm and more responsive than the larger factory items. Only drawback is that 6ft drivers are unable to see the entire instrument cluster, especially the 100kmh/60mph area of the speedometer.

do u still have to purchase an adaptor or do you simply have to put them in?

i know that for honda's, the steering wheels fit right away, i have no idea with bmw's

Depending on the built year the steering wheel hubs are different. MOMO has adapters for all of them. Can be bought separately.

Depends on which car and what year. E34 from 88 to 90 have same fitment for the adaptor to E28, E30 and E31. I have used Momo Race wheel with a Sparco adaptor to my 89 E34. Loved that wheel. I have since then, put a E28 M Sport wheel on the E34 as the momo looks too modern for an older classic.

E34 from 91 onwards have a DIFFERENT fitment. Hub adaptor is called a "Boss kit", momo and sparco has it. My sparco hub came from a Sparco E30M3. I bought the adaptor not the wheel as it was too small for my use.
